Slammers Sign Peter Lamick to 1-Year Deal
FREE AGENCY BEGINS WITH THE SIGNING OF PETER LAMICK, CSV
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - The Oakton Slammers have signed their first free agent of the offseason: Br. Peter Lamick, CSV has agreed to terms on a 1-year, $0 million deal. Under the terms of the deal, there is a mutual option for the 2025 season. He will wear #5 for the Slammers this year.
Lamick is a three year veteran of 16" softball. This experience should provide a much-needed boost to both the offense and defense, where Lamick will serve as a utility player in both the infield and outfield.
"Signing a player like Br. Peter was extremely important to our plan for this offseason," General Manager Zach Wulbert claimed during the press conference. "We are excited to see what he will bring to our team this year."
"We've had the poker in that fire for a while," Assistant GM Mike Leahy said. "We're glad it came to fruition."
The signing of Lamick comes after the Slammers agreed to terms with 11 returning players, avoiding arbitration for the season. The roster now stands at 12 players.
